About Me
Hi, I’m TJ Simonik, General Manager of Core Books LLC. I started this business in October 2020 to combine two things I genuinely I enjoy: working with numbers and helping people. I’m based in Huntersville, NC, but because my services are fully remote, I can support small business owners no matter where you’re located.
I bring more than 17 years of experience across a variety of professional financial roles, along with over 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience. Over time I’ve developed a reputation for being personable, detail oriented, and highly organized. These qualities show up in how I manage your books and support your business.
Why work with Me?
I’ve always been someone who genuinely enjoys numbers probably more than most. I even learned how to balance my own checkbook as a kid using a toy called BankIt (a 90s money management system – yes it’s real). That early interest turned into a career. I went on to study accounting and finance at Ohio University and later became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). I continue to invest in my skills by maintaining my QuickBooks Online Pro Advisor credentials and being active in the Digital Bookkeeping Association and the Bookkeeper Business Launch community.
But what really sets me apart is how I work with clients. I don’t just keep your books organized, but I help you understand what the numbers are telling you. You’ll have a clearer picture of your financial story so you can make informed decisions, avoid surprises, and plan ahead with confidence.
